Lands End Equestrian Centre are proud to say we are a 5* rated establishment. Every year our horses are vetted and our establishment checked by Wokingham Borough Council Licence Number RE0009. We also fully insured.

We offer a fun learning experience for all ages and all ages specialising in fun riding, nervous clients and hacking. We can cater for people with special needs and learning difficulties whether you would like to learn to ride or would just like to learn stable management and animal welfare.

 

Lessons

At Lands End we offer a range of lessons to suit all levels and abilities. We run a large selection of pony activities on Saturdays. On Sundays we off a selection on Clinics. Theses clinics are specialised lessons, they are small groups focusing on specific disciplines, most are suitable for all levels but all riders must be assessed before booking a clinic. Loan/Share Packages

Our loan packages are suitable for students and clients that want to improve their riding (either just for fun or for college) and are not yet suited to our open loan scheme. With our loans you will receive a minimum of 2 lessons per week (a mixture of hacking, dressage, jumping and stable management). You then get to have a feel of what owning a horse/pony is like as you also get to clean out you stable, clean tack and brush your horse/pony without all the extra costs. You have set days each week to look after your horse/pony and weekday lessons are on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. To become a loaner you must be in weekly lessons, you can then register your interest and b invited onto the scheme.

About our loan package

 

This package is suited for off-lead rein riders only.

Loaners will have their own horse or pony for 2–3 days each week. On these days, you will have dedicated time with your pony — and to make it easier to fit around your busy schedule, we take care of all morning duties for you. You will also receive 2 group lessons per week as part of your package (these can be in any form i.e. ridden, stable management, practical etc).

On the third day (depending on your riding level), you will spend time caring for your pony: grooming, cleaning tack, and helping with stable duties — great hands-on experience that helps you build a real bond with your pony.

This is a wonderful way to enjoy having your own pony, without the full cost and commitment of outright ownership. You are very welcome to buy special items for your pony if you wish — such as numnahs, headcollars or rugs — but these are not required.

Session times (children’s loans)

  • Term time:
    • Saturdays: 8:00am – 4:30pm
    • Weekday evenings: Currently Tuesday and Thursday 3:30pm – 6:00pm, and Friday 3:30pm – 6:30pm (subject to availability)
  • School holidays:
    • Daytime sessions only: 8:00am – 4:30pm, unless we let you know otherwise

When organising groups, we always do our best to match riders by ability, and to keep friends together where we can — we also take your availability into account. Please note that days and times are subject to change if needed.

Please also be aware that we currently operate a waiting list for all lessons and activities. All clients are added to a relevant WhatsApp group, so we can keep you updated and in touch easily.

 

Messages and emails are usually responded to on Thursdays and Fridays unless urgent.
